Currently the list of mailboxes ("directories") in Message => Move To => Recent is affected both by manual moves and by filter moves. Now moves due to filters can potentially happen as often as the mail servers are polled, and as a result "automatic" moves by filters (which never use the menus) have a tendency to "push" manual moves (which may use the menus) out of the list. IMHO this is counter-productive. Ideally (IMHO) moves by filters should not affect the "recent" list. If the People In Power judge that this would not be acceptable as an unconditional behaviour, I would find it acceptable to have it governed by a visible preference, but this would be somewhat more complex, since it would mean (a) creating a mechanism in Mailnews Core => Filters, then adding the pref as two followup bugs in (b1) Thunderbird => Preferences and (b2) SeaMonkey => Preferences.

The symptoms agree so I'm VERIFYing the DUPLICATE. I won't check for bug 370324 being VERIFIED FIXED since I've long ceased to use the "Recent folders" submenu — the QuickMenuMC extension is IMHO more versatile, more configurable, more useful, even if the "Recent" submenu has finally been changed to reflect only manual moves.
