I have been missing the following feature for a couple of years in thunderbird.
I would like to be able to filter on mailinglists. So that I don't have to figure out which kind of header this mailinglist uses to filter it.
Evolution has had this feature for years and I miss it.
Reproducible: Always

This would be a good candidate for a custom search action, once bug 495519 lands.
Do you happen to know technically what the filter is actually looking for in the message to call it a mailing list?

List-Id seems to be the universal header here.
If you filter on custom header with List-Id, that should do what you want it to.

It would do what I want to do, but it is more userfriendly to just have thunderbrid figure out that the List-Id header is there and be able to create a rule for that mailinglist, without having to specify the emailaddress of the mailinglist.
