Looks like bug 307023, however I don't see an image in the HTML part.
Can you retest with a 3.0b3pre nightly build if this still applies?

Hi rsx11m, thanks for your reply.
I tested with
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b4pre) Gecko/20090323 Lightning/1.0pre Shredder/3.0b3pre
and the result was the same.
When opening the bug i pasted the source of the e-mail into the posting. So you can create an e-mail file and open it in Thunderbird. When forwarding you'll see that a few characters will be missing.
The final patch for this bug got checked in on 2009-04-15, thus you won't see
it in the 2009-03-23 nightly build you have used. I've just put your message into the current 2009-07-15 Shredder nightly and don't see any tag or attribute corruption when forwarding inline. Thus, I'd assume that this is a special case of bug 307023 and can be considered fixed.
Please double-check with today's nightly, then we can close the bug unless you find anything else.
I tried version
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1pre) Gecko/20090714 Lightning/1.0pre Shredder/3.0b3pre
The problem is solved in this version.
Thanks a lot.
