Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20090714 SeaMonkey/2.1a1pre - Build ID: 20090714000750
This SeaMonkey build comes with a version of ChatZilla which only boasts support for versions 1.0 to 2.0 of SeaMonkey. IOW, they are not "compatible". This means that (unless compatibility checking is disabled by means of Nightly Tester Tools, MR-Tech Toolkit or extensions.checkCompatibility) this version of SeaMonkey cannot be used for IRC chatting.

CCing someone from ChatZilla, "just in case".

I'm pretty sure you meant to cc Gijs, for the whole "he's actually active, and stuff like that there" thing.

I didn't know whom to CC, then I noticed that rginda is "default assignee" for all ChatZilla bugs, as well as "module owner". If I ought to have CCed Gijs, well, thanks for correcting me.

I enabled compat on AMO's dev panel. It should work now, if you have an internet connection when installing it, and I'll try to get install.rdf fixed up sometime later today so that it'll be in sync.

:-) Thanks Gijs. Sorry I cannot VERIFY this fix ATM, but I've temporarily gone back to 2.0b1pre because of a different problem (constant hangs, see bug 504241).
