XPI seriously needs an uninstall feature. Currently, the only way to remove a
package/skin is to manually edit rdf files, which is completely unaccetable from
an end-user perspective. The was being discussed on #mozilla yesterday, and one
major conclusion that was reached was that apart from the obvious inconvinience,
this could lead to legal action against netscape/mozilla:
1. Guy downloads a skin, say 'JenniSkin'.
2. Skin turns out to be porn.
3. Wife sees porn.
4. Wife files for divorce.
5. Guy sues netscape for not allowing him to remove the porn skin and thereby
causing his divorce.
Yes, unlikely, but very possible, and in the light of civil lawsuits in recent
years in the US, even more so.
Note that this will very likely require a change to the current method of
registering chrome. I think this is critical to users, as the ability to
uninstall packages of any sort is crucial in just about all cases.
