Details

While bug 460960 may have introduced the backend already, the current choices in Edit > Preferences > Mail & Newsgroup > Message Display only offer to "display them in: A new message window / An existing message window." These choices should be extended by "A new message tab" (does "An existing message tab" make sense?) to provide easier access to that feature. Corresponding Thunderbird 3.0 preferences: - mail.openMessageBehavior (bug 467768) - mail.tabs.loadInBackground (bug 501426)
