post-M17 regression, when URLs are visited in other window

M17 has a nice feature when opening several browser windows. URL's visited with
one browser window will automatically get the "visited" color in all other
browser windows when the mouse moves over it.
This is very useful when reading mailinglist archives keeping the index in one
window and messages in another, and using the "next thread" links in the message
window. Messages read via "thread next" will then show up as "read" in the
index before I waste time clicking on them.
Unfortunately, this don't work in any of the post-M17 nightly builds. Moving the
mouse over url's do nothing, I have to reload the index page. Network io takes
unknown time, and then I'm hit by the "long text pages take long to render"-bug.
