It seems likely that this problem occurs for some other events as well. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. set an image's src property in script. 2. make a synchronous XmlHttpRequest Actual Results: The image onload will fire before the synchronous XmlHttpRequest returns. Expected Results: The image onload fires after the synchronous XmlHttpRequest returns.
