over-the-spot IM on japanese does not happen in right position

1, Using CDE login, select one of the japanese locale.
2, When asked for IM, choose either XJIM or ATOK
3, set preference:
user_pref("xim.input_style", "over-the_spot");
4, bring up composer
5, input several line of ascii
6, switch on japanese mode

This one is also reproducible on yesterday's Linux build. Shirley, please
try it. If you can confirm it, reassign it to tajima. thanks.

The problem is because input module is not get correct caret position from
layout module. This turned out to be a cross-platform issue. On windows,
candidate window was positioned using caret as well, and problem can be
seen from there.
