User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090824 Firefox/3.5.3 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: 2.0.0.23 When I edit a message as new and send it again, TB converts everything in it to fixed-width font and hard-wraps the original and appended messages. How can I get this behavior to stop? The hard-wrapping seems to come up in other odd situations too, like forwarding and replying sometimes but I can't get my mind around exactly what causes it or what settings to use to fix it. I basically don't want TB to EVER hard-wrap anything, whether when viewing or composing or forwarding or replying, or whatever. I always want emails wrapped automatically according to the window size. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Compose an email and send it (in my case it's not a fixed width font and not hard wrapped [text wraps automatically according to window size]) 2. Select or open the message and select "edit message as new" from the message menu 3. Actual Results: The original message is hard-wrapped to a size narrower than the window, and new text added is wrapped at a different width, also not the same as the window width. Also the font has been converted to fixed-width instead of the normal default non-fixed-width font. Just to check it, i sent the mail like this to myself and read it, and it indeed did appear hard-wrapped in fixed width font. Expected Results: I expected it to follow the same composition rules as the original message, using the normal non-fixed-width font, automatically wrapped to the wondow size. I am finding it quite difficult to understand how TB handles wrapping expecially. It seems sort of random. Frankly I don't understand why it's converting emails to hard-wrapping at all.
That's fixed in the upcoming Thunderbird 3.0 release.
