Note: this is a meta tracking bug for UI mockups and discussion of the overall user experience. The content area pages established in bug 523524 should appear in the user's back/forward history. So for instance you can navigate directly to a folder with the location bar (bug 523523) and then navigate to one of the bookmarks in it, you should be able to hit back to get back to the folder content area page. The favicons in the back/forward drop down menu should also correctly match the type of containing page (folder, tag, history range).
notes: - "view all history" optional for 3.7
We will probably need to have "view all history" for 3.7 on platforms that no longer have a menu bar (Vista, 7). Filed follow up bug 526678 for adding the command.
Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
