If a form is used to upload a file, the file becomes corrupted

We used a form-based submission program to update files. If mozilla is used to
upload files, they do upload, but become corrupted. This is present in the
daily builds, and has been for a couple weeks now. I've been neglecting to
report this, because I thought perhaps forms were a known problem, but I haven't
been able to find anything out about this.

This sounds like a serious bug. Can you please give more details? For example,
attach a file that you saw was corrupted, or give information on how big the
file was (number of bytes) or what type of data it contained (binary vs. text -
strange charactesr in the file name? Is there any specific site that you saw
this behaviour on? Thanks!

Upping severity to CRITICAL since if this is confirmed it means that bugzilla
attachments will be affected. Recommend that you don't use mozilla to upload
your attachment nhubbard@tucows.com :)
Severity: minor → critical
Confirming. Linux build 2000092710 and other recent Linux builds. Bug 54481 has
more information on this problem as well. Looks like it happens on win32 as
well. IMNSHO we need to P1 this
See the following buzilla attachments that have been corrupted by Mozilla
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/showattachment.cgi?attach_id=15703 (bug 54472)
and

bug 54081 has more detailed information on this bug (the two are probably the
same; Eric I suggest you close one of your preference as a dup).
in 54081 I looked at exactly where the trashing is (there is a pattern).
Also, in the Win32 daily from yesterday, it worked ok. I'm going to retest with
FreeBSD now.

Adding dataloss, dogfood, nsbeta3. I suggest this one for nsbeta3++.
Has anyone tested this under win32? My Win32 system is unstable today.

My two cents: This bug has been around since at least 2000-09-09, and it
definitely worked before that.

This is the same as 54081 which is marked dogfood+. Eric, you may want to look
at 54081 and decide if this should be you or gagan, and forms or networking.
