Severity: trivial → minor
Version: unspecified → 3.0
This appears only if I update Shredder and restart it. I measured/compared it on OSX 10.4.11 vs. 10.5.7: Shredder appears almost in 3-4 seconds on OSX 10.5 after update-restart. It takes about 30-40 seconds on OSX 10.4 after update-restart. If I normally quit the app and then load it again, it takes the same time on both systems. So i conclude there could be some performance degradation bug with OSX 10.4...

how does Thunderbird 2 on same Mac compare to version 3? related to check for extension compatibility? do you have a master password defined for thunderbird?
Summary: Startup time on OSX 10.4 very slow → Startup time on OSX 10.4 is long, very slow compared to MS Windows XP

Jurek, do you see the same performance difference starting thunderbird in safe mode? And in comment 0 you compare to windows XP. Perhaps a fuller picture is needed? Can you summarize in a table. TB2 TB3 --- --- XP 10.4 10.5

There were some improvements made for Mac OS X on Firefox that improved startup by around 36% that I doubt Thunderbird does as of yet. http://autonome.wordpress.com/2009/12/05/firefox-startup-performance-weekly-summary-12/
