This is perhaps in itself undesirable, but the problem I'm having is that it also causes the content to wrap to the width of that long header, and no horizontal scrollbar appears. Screenshots forthcoming. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Write yourself a message with a very long string as the Subject, with no spaces or punctuation. (I used "asdf"*150, but it doesn't matter as long as it's wider than your preview pane) 2. Put a lot of text on one line in the body. The message will appear to wrap fine in compose mode, but... 2. Once you receive the the message, either in preview pane or a new tab within Shredder, all the content appears on one line. There's no scrollbar to move over to the right. Actual Results: Content appears on one line with no apparent way to scroll sideways Expected Results: Content wrapping is unaffected by wrappability of message headers I was running 2009-11-20's build when I first noticed this problem, so it's probably not new. This is an issue for me on Consumer Reports' RSS feed, which has a VERY long Website URL. I use View->Message Body As->Simple HTML and Headers->Normal, although changing those settings didn't seem to have an effect. Filing as Normal since the workaround (selectall->copy to text editor) is fairly unfriendly.

Fix v1 in bug 526918 would solve this. (Therefore, I also think this is 3.0 only.)
