Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 Build Identifier: Eudora 8.0b7 Please see http://eudorabb.qualcomm.com/showthread.php?p=43336&posted=1#post43336 for details look at message 9 (I stuffed up to start with) Problem seems to relate to displaying the ask for password part of downloading messages. They seem to have fixed it in thunderbird (bug524623) but the workround in their comment 20 doesn't work for Eudora as the boxes are still greyed out for me. I use puppy Linux v4.3.1 (www.puppylinux.org)which is a pure desktop version. The problem may be something missing (lib or package) but in any case I need / would like some help or guidance as we wish to add Eudora to our supported and installable packages. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.create new mail account 2.try to download mail 3. Actual Results: Error message is "Error Getting Mail Password" instead of a box asking for password. Error message details in the url above Expected Results: being asked for a password at least once. Please contact me by email if I can help further or test for you. I can't code for nuts nowadays. One of the things I lost after a Migrane induced "mini-stroke".
Yes, this is a duplicate and will be fixed when we start using the fixed version of Thunderbird. When we release a beta based on the Thunderbird release their work-arounds should work in Eudora. Marking as a duplicate. Matt
