Up until today, I could cancel spam messages to mozilla.reviewers, but now I
need to enter a news server admin name and password. Yet I just canceled such
a spam message over in mozilla.jseng. What's up? Can I get cancel privileges
in m.reviewers restored? Thanks,

I compared the access control rules for mozilla.jseng and mozilla.reviewers and
they are identical. If you're coming from the mozilla.org domain you will have a
moderator role and moderator is defined as having "cancel" permissions. Can you
try again? If not please let me know what the article number is so I can do more
investigating.

brendan, are you using a different client than before? From what I understand,
Netscape doesn't let you delete other people's posts although real newsreaders
do (like trn). Not sure whether mozilla does or not.

I can cancel when reading via snews://news.mozilla.org, using Netscape 4.72 on
Windows at home. I think 4.x on Unix just didn't handle canceling.

Moving to nobody until we have better picture of where we'll be going with
mozilla.org support by IC.
