User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_6; de-de) AppleWebKit/525.27.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.2.1 Safari/525.27.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; de; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20100111 Thunderbird/3.0.1 Dear Mozilla developers, I am using Thunderbird for my IMAP mail system. If a new message comes in into "Inbox", a sound is played, Growl notifies me and the dock icon is updated, showing a small "1" on top of the icon. This feature is just great. Due to some filtering policies, I use several subfolders mails are put in by the mailserver. If I receive a new message in a IMAP subfolder, for instance: "Office", a sound is played, Growl notifies me, but the dock icon shows nothing. In the bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=274688 I found out that only INBOXes are taken into consideration for the Dock icon. As you may realize, this is a clear bug for me, since I want to know if there are new messages in subfolders, for instance, when I'm away when the new message comes in. Is there any possibility to change this behaviour? Or to add a configuration option like: biff.count_imap_subfolders. Perhaps it would be a good idea to only count folders who are "Check for new messages" enabled. Thank you in advantage, Nico Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Receive a new message via IMAP not in the INBOX, but in any other folder. Actual Results: The Dock icon does not indicate a new messages. Expected Results: The Dock icon should display that there is a new message, as it does in the INBOX. If others do not expect this result, I would be glad if there was a configuration option
It looks like this is an enhancement that could be made to Thunderbird's integration with OS X. Marking accordingly.
