Details

I had opened my mail window before connecting to Netscape's internal network with SERA. It failed to find the mail server. Then I connected with SERA, but it still couldn't find the server. I had to quit the app and restart before I could read my mail. In 4.x, mail reconnects to the server automatically.

May I know which build were you using? Trunk build or Branch build?
interesting - I think I've seen this too. But I also think I've seen it work as well.
Is this still happening? If it is please attach a IMAP log of your IMAP session. Read more about how to log IMAP at: http://mozilla.org/quality/mailnews/mail-troubleshoot.html#imap
Hi, reporter, can you reproduce this bug in recent build?

I am seeing this bug for quite some time now. It is fairly difficult to lay my hands on what it really is. I can always create a connection just fine to my local ISP mailbox. When VPN'ing into my company's email system, it's trouble. Other email programs work just fine. There are some things that for me are always the same when it fails; - The first time I want to connect. Once I somehow got connected it's fine. - Its always after install of a new OS or mozilla profile. - Always the same imap server giving me troubles (SIMS 4.0 on Solaris) - I connect through a VPN gateway to that mailserver - I manually can telnet just fine to the mailserver on port 143. So the connecting is not refused at all.
I followed the imap debugging page (windows 200). 1556[2810270]: romulus:NA:CreateNewLineFromSocket: (null) This the only comment that wase entered in the file.
