I was having a problem with Gmail tabs not matching when I typed gmail. In the process of trying to get more info for this bug I increased browser.urlbar.maxRichResults to 20 so that I might see how far down the list the tab was. However after changing the pref the tab match is the second result for gmail and is still matching now that I reset browser.urlbar.maxRichResults to 12. I can reproduce this without any extension enabled. This seems to be an issue with not just Gmail.

If a developer needs access to my places.sqlite I can provide it.

Was this fixed by bug 546253?

Seems to, from a quick test in Windows. Gmail was nowhere to be found in my location bar. Now it is in the top 3. Though I want to check on Linux before confirming.

Open Gmail pages now show up on my auto-complete results, for example 'gm' is enough for the tab match to show.
