I've run into several people over the years that didn't know Firefox could have multiple homepages, but seeing this tweet annoyed me enough to file a bug: http://twitter.com/MaxsBlog/status/12441235262 "Auto opening web pages when opening Google Chrome really sealed the deal for me; Im about to uninstall Firefox after 3 long and amazing yrs." Attached are screenshots of Firefox's and Chrome's UI for what to do on startup. Chrome makes it very obvious that you can open several webpages at startup. Firefox's only indication is that "Pages" is plural, and users who do notice that then have to open the pages they want before clicking that button. I also think the idea of "multiple homepages" is less clear than something like "open the following pages on startup". I think this UI could use some improvement to make the feature less hidden, especially if people think Chrome has this feature and we don't.

With the introduction of the home tab and app tabs, we'll be transitioning all of the user's home pages into app tabs for Firefox 4. The UI will likely be: Display on start up: [drop down of all current app tabs, with an option to create one v]

Since Preferences is moving into an in-content page where we have more space, we should redesign the UI for "startup" so that it's clear to the user what are their options.
