We don't use EXTEND_PAD on Quartz. The Cairo update includes implementing EXTEND_NONE (the default) in the Quartz backend, so when we zoom in we now can get black lines on the edges of images.
I've tried turning on EXTEND_PAD, and it doesn't work.
