There is no notice in the ui that a restart would be necessary, but extensions.dss.switchPending has been set to true. Steps: 1. Install a Personas (http://www.getpersonas.com/en-US/) 2. Install the Walnut theme (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/122/) 3. Restart Firefox and open the Themes pane 4. Set extensions.dss.enabled to true 5. Enable the Personas from step 1 After step 5 the custom theme is still applied. I would expect to see the selected Personas on top of the default theme.

I'm not sure what dss refers to, but assuming this is about heavy weight themes which are no longer valid in Firefox, closing.
