Log in to gmail. Click one of the "drop downs" like "Move to", "Labels", or "More actions". The drop down used to have a border and shadow effect, they do not anymore on trunk. Local bisection indicated that http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/22e19fe61752 (bug 572668) is the first bad changeset. I double checked this.

So... if you just set your UA to having that crypto strength token in it (using general.useragent.override) does the problem disappear? If so, it sounds like a bug in gmail's browser-sniffing mess....
Yeah, just changing the useragent with general.useragent.override can make the problem appear in builds that don't normally have the problem.
Let's start with evang, then. I suppose we can back out the change if we really have to, but if this is the only site affected by it, they need to fix their stuff.

Wow, huh. That's an odd side-effect. I'll mail the team.

Timothy, can you give me the UA string before and after for the google team to test with?
This one from Linux works Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:2.0b2pre) Gecko/20100716 Minefield/4.0b2pre This one shows the bug Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:2.0b2pre) Gecko/20100716 Minefield/4.0b2pre Similar useragents for Windows also show the problem.
OK, google's on it.
This also makes the reply button slightly offset and uglier.
Moving this bug around to clear the blocking nom. I apologize for bugspam.
