Details

Suppose root or some user installs Mozilla and then installs PSM from the iPlanet PSM install page. When that same user restarts Mozilla, he can visit https://... pages just fine. When another user attempts to visit the same site, Mozilla appears to be taking a long time to load the page but it really hangs and must be SIGKILLed. The problem may be with the file psm/components/xpti.dat. I have observed that when a user goes to an https:// site, user takes ownership of this file. Workaround is to give all users write access to the psm/components/ directory.
This happens for me on Linux on a current CVS pull of the trunk and a current load of the PSM components themselves (from the iPlanet page). Marking this bug confirmed.
