Hi Bob, I'm going to file a couple of bugs. This is the most popular crash, it seems to be Flash talking to nVidia via dx9. I've saved the .dmp file for 7a65c307-e478-4ec3-8b5b-a12502100803. I'll try to get someone to see if we can track down a reporter, however based on the nice crash address and the fact that nvidia doesn't seem to be omitting frame pointers, I hope you can do something w/o a dump. If you can provide public symbols (as flash has), either to mozilla in general, or to me directly, we can try to improve the stack report. Tomcat: can you try to track down an email address for which we have a dump? http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/list?product=Fennec&product=Firefox&product=SeaMonkey&product=Thunderbird&platform=windows&query_search=signature&query_type=startswith&query=nv&date=08%2F05%2F2010%2011%3A11%3A25&range_value=1&range_unit=weeks&hang_type=crash&process_type=any&plugin_field=&plugin_query_type=&plugin_query=&do_query=1&admin=&signature=nvd3dum.dll%400x351943 Firefox 3.6.8 Crash Report [@ nvd3dum.dll@0x351943 ] Search Mozilla Support for Help ID: 7a65c307-e478-4ec3-8b5b-a12502100803 Signature: nvd3dum.dll@0x351943 Details Modules Raw Dump Extensions Comments Correlations Signature nvd3dum.dll@0x351943 UUID 7a65c307-e478-4ec3-8b5b-a12502100803 Process Type plugin Version: Filename: NPSWF32.dll Time 2010-08-03 00:48:49.486799 Uptime 595642 Install Age 663126 seconds (1.1 weeks) since version was first installed. How do I get the raw dump file? Cannot see it in the links provided?
We don't generally provide them to third parties for confidentiality reasons. I have the .dmp on my computer. The easiest way for me to share a .dmp is if we can track down a reporter and get permission to share it. Is it possible for you to provide some form of pdb files to me?
I have had this crash a couple of times, you can use my dump file. Contact me if needed.

is this issue still valid? the linked report no longer brings up any records.
(In reply to smadayag from comment #6) > is this issue still valid? the linked report no longer brings up any > records. The link in comment 4 still works.
@B Todur - missed your post above. deferring to nvidia investigation. our last bug note states it looks to be a driver crash when a decoder is created.

I'm closing a lot of bugs which are filed as Adobe Flash bugs which are either irrelevant, not actionable, or not serious enough to track in the Mozilla bug tracker. For the most part, Flash bugs should be filed in Adobe bugbase, and we'll only track a few highly-critical issues in the Mozilla tracker.
