Global toggle to disable *any* unnecessary user interface animations

I notice that tabs will now give me an animation when closed. I don't like it.
I found that there's a pref, browser.tabs.animate
However, in my opinion, there should be a global pref. Just like operating systems allow me to simply say
"disable all desktop effects"
I'd like to see a single global pref that allows me to do the same.

"unnecessary" is highly subjective. These days you can set ui.prefersReducedMotion
to 0
or 1
in about:config, which should remove most animations in the browser chrome.
