I stumbled into TabView and while trying to get out of it, I ended up with several groups of tabs. I wanted to "undo" all of the filtering and just get out of TabView. I eventually got out of TabView, but now my tabs are filtered in ways that make me sad.
I want to "revert" the entire session. Just give me back my tabs, unfiltered, and in the order I originally had them.

I had a similar experience - thought "what's that button?" and clicked on it. Didn't really fancy investigating any further once I'd seen the screen, hit ESC to close and all my tabs had disappeared. I then spent ten minutes trying to get my tabs back in the order I wanted them and then another ten trying to figure out how to disable the damn thing.
Now that I've seen what it is, because I was forced to spend that time figuring it out, I can see it may be useful, but hiding a user's tabs if they speculatively or accidentally click on the button isn't a great way to introduce the feature.

The initial problem of all tabs ending up in their own group has been fixed in bug 574875. I suppose this bug can stay open if we want to be able to somehow undo any tab groupings.

I'm resolving this bug as wonfix because:
(1) Fixing bug 574875 solved the whole need to actually group your tabs at the beginning. Escaping does the right thing now.
(2) We will be adding a better way to exit Tab Candy (i.e., a toggle)
