User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0b3) Gecko/20100805 Firefox/4.0b3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0b3) Gecko/20100805 Firefox/4.0b3 Since Firefox 4.0b3, images aren't displayed before they have finished downloading. This is true both for embedded images in a HTML site and when going to the URL of an image directly and seems to apply to all image types (jpeg, gif, png...). There are some exceptions, however. Most notably, all images on the site deviantart.com still seem to load normally (i.e. gradually). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to the URL of an image large enough so it will take a noticeable time to download (such as the example URL above). Actual Results: The image does not appear before the download is finished. Expected Results: The part of the image that is already downloaded should be displayed, like in previous versions of Firefox.
