we have a poor start up experience from the combination of slow start up and showing nothing but a black screen for most of it. Having a progress indicator helps keep us from looking hung on start up.

Nice. Feels much better. We'll need some possibility of localizing the "fennec is starting..." string but that can come later. Something like "Fennec is loading" probably sounds better too, I think. The ellipsis makes me antsy. MOZ_APP_DISPLAYNAME looks perfect for this.
Also, fix the indentation in the draw2D chunk.
