Details

1. Open the the mozilla Enter bug page and scroll down to the description text box. 2. Click on the box so that it is selected for input and the cursor appears in the upper left-hand corner (with nothing entered in the box) 3. Hit the tab key 4. Hit the tab key again. Error--For some reason if a tab is the first character on the line it has the width of a space. Subsequent tabs have a wider width. Expected results--All tabs should have the same width, at least this is how Netscape and (I believe) IE work, the first should not be narrow like a space with the others wider. Regression--An interesting and related path repeats steps 1-3 but then hitting the space key or a character key instead of step a tab for 4. For some reason this makes the initial tab expand to its original width. Build ID 2000110421, on RedHat 7.0 Linux, kernel 2.2.16-22, XFree86-4.0
