Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b4) Gecko/20100818 Firefox/4.0b4 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b6) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b6

Starting with FF4 beta5, I am unable to connect to web sites via https .

I have this problem at work where we are using an http proxy with username+password authentication (https works fine at home where I don't have such a proxy).

I can enter a url like https://gmail.com or https://bugzilla.mozilla.com, but nothing is displayed; the browser says "done" in the status bar, but no page content is displayed, and no errors either.

This has worked fine with all FF4 betas (1,2,3,4), and broke with beta 5; can it be related to the integration of HSTS?

Note that this problem only concerns https not http, and restarting firefox doesn't change anything.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start firefox 4.0 beta 5 or beta 6
2. open for example https://gmail.com or https://bugzilla.mozilla.org

Actual Results:
browser briefly indicates activity and then says "Done" in the status bar, but the tab stays blank, nothing is displayed and no error message either.

Expected Results:
page should display.
I assume that you use a proxy with NTLM
