It would be useful if we could support pinning individual uri (app tabs for example) to the taskbar independent of the main browser shortcut. We already support individual group ids per window, but we lack ther ability to tie a particular window to a group id based on the uri the window displays. We also need to figure out how to tie the site's icon to a taskbar shortcut. There are some issues to sort out revolving around what happens if the user navigates away from the site the shortcut launches as well.

This and Bug 596648 are essentially the same. I'm not sure which should be duped to which.
Correction: This and Bug 582370 are essentially the same.
Dupe this to bug 605222?
(In reply to comment #4) > Dupe this to bug 605222? completely different bugs.

Isn't the following bug a duplicate of this one? Bug 621941 - Unable pin web locations to taskbar on Windows 7 (In reply to Jim Mathies [:jimm] from comment #0) > It would be useful if we could support pinning individual uri (app tabs for > example) to the taskbar independent of the main browser shortcut. Is this bug specifically for pinning app-tabs (of limited usefulness), or does it cover the full functionality available in other browsers, like pinning by dragging .URL desktop shortcuts and bookmarks from the Library?
I apologize for the bugspam. I've misread the description. Clearly, the aforementioned bug is about pinning to the Firefox taskbar shortcut, while this is about pinning independent of it.
