User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.9) Gecko/20100824 Firefox/3.6.9 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.9) Gecko/20100915 Lightning/1.0b2 Thunderbird/3.1.4 I recall, in previous Thunderbird versions, that there was no forced "--" [dashes] preceding my signature line. This allowed me to place a few spaces past the email body content, followed by my own dashes, and then the signature. This, my formatting choice. Now, TBird inserts a pair of dashes, automatically. This means that my formatting for the signature is no longer possible -- i.e., the dashes show immediately following my typed text. Is there a way to turn this "auto-dashing" off, and restore prior version behavior of my choice? (I am using an html insert, and have tried placing my signature content in the box and also as an external file.) Thanks for looking into this. Reproducible: Always Expected Results: The use of, and the placement of dashes following my email body, and preceding my signature line, should be at my discretion and with my own formatting, not some default.
Actually, on thinking on this. . . It's not the dashes, It's the absence of line breaks between my email and the dashes. Obviously, if the dashes weren't there, I could use my own, with spaces.
