Details

Fennec uses a preference to disable the native theming system, "mozilla.widget.disable-native-theme". This seems to work for non-ipc browser content. It also worked for ipc browser content before the cross-platform layers work in the cedar repo was merged to mozilla-central. Afterwards, ipc browser content seems to ignore the pref to disable the native theming system. See bug 597010, which has a fix. This bug is for fixing the code in the platform to support the pref.
