When hovering on a link, the favorite-star is hidden to save space, but the drop-down arrow is still there.

Location bar dropdown arrow should disappear on link hover

Steps to Reproduce:
Hover over a link
Actual Results:  
Drop-down arrow is taking up space on the location bar.

Expected Results:  
Drop-down arrow shouldn't take up space.

I'd like to do this too.  The reason it's not hidden is because in RTL locales the dropdown arrow appears on the left side of the bar, where hiding it doesn't make sense.  But we should make an exception for LTR locales and hide it.

Do we even need the drop down arrow in the first place? Is there a bug to remove it, because it seems obsolete now.

Bug 593624, but it was wontfixed.

Bug 625956 should have been duped to this one, but it's got a design spec and patch, so duping this one to that one.
