Under the "Recent Updates" pane I clicked "Show Release Notes" for the latest Adblock Plus development version. There was a bug number referenced, so I hovered over it and it gives me the standard selectable text cursor ('I'). Can't select anything, however. Instead, I have to type the bug number in manually.
This text should be selectable and copyable, as looks like it was intended. If for some strange reason it isn't supposed to be, then the cursor is wrong.

Strangely I don't even see the release notes anymore for updated items on OS X. Just installed DOMi v2.0.6 and upgraded to v2.0.8. Dave, you have tested it on Linux only?

DOM Inspector 2.0.8 has no version notes to show. (I really wish AMO wouldn't allow that)
Yes, I only had the time to test on Linux when I filed. I just retested with latest Minefield on Linux and WinXP.
STR:
0) new profile in latest Minefield
1) install older Adblock Plus dev build:
https://adblockplus.org/devbuilds/adblockplus/
2) restart and accept default list subscription
3) Add-ons Manager -> check for updates -> update -> restart again
4) Add-ons Manager -> recent updates -> release notes for the update
5) hover over any text and get a text select cursor, but can't select text
clicking selects the whole entry
context menu is standard for an addon entry
Also did a quick test with Flagfox 4.1a1 to 4.1a2 updating (which are hosted on AMO) and can't select release notes for it either.
I looked for a stable versions update path to test, but couldn't find anyone with two versions both compatible with Trunk at the moment. Stumbled on bug 601836 in the process, by the way.

Sadly, few addons actually have release notes. But I can confirm release notes do indeed work for all OSes, and this bug is present on all OSes.
This is probably one of the few cases where it makes sense to allow selecting text. Don't think we'll bother providing the usual cut/copy/paste context menu (not for 4.0, at least), but the text can be made selectable by adding -moz-user-select: text; to the parent node, and then all the relevant keyboard shortcuts for selected text will work.

This is fixed by bug 601022. Blair, anything which is worth an automated test?

Not something we can easily automate. Might be worth a litmus test?
