I've noticed that in the recent betas, a "Web Search" button has been added to the tools drop-down. It would be more convenient to use the shortcut (Ctrl+K), or more simply to click in the search box, then have to go to the tools menu, click the "Web Search" button, then type your request.
In short:
The new "Web Search" button is more complicated that simply clicking in the search box. Maybe the button should be removed, and the shortcut (Ctrl+k) be placed in the Help document.
Reproducible: Always

That's not new, it has been there for ages. Wasn't it even in the old Netscape browser ? It dates from the time that there wasn't a search-field at all.
Note that the menubar has been replaced by the Firefox button (for most users, although you can still use it if you want), which doesn't have it anymore.
