yes, i downloaded and installed a nightly mozilla build (and a netscape6 copy) today (Nov 21) , and both do not show all the mails. wolfgang

after i delete my ~/.mozilla folder Build 2000112021 first doesnt show them all either, then repeatedly brings up "Login Failed" errors and then finally shows all mails.

Do you have Courier IMAP test account available for external people for testing? Can you email to me for the server name, userid and password info to me, so I can reproduce this problem? Thanks.

unlikely that something changed since 2000-11-20.

I encountered the same problem with a courier IMAP server with the 2001011905 build and with the nightly build from Jan 2 for Linux.

Sorry, that was the build from Jan 27.

Can you try on the latest build again?

Recent nightlies do not seem to cause this problem. 2001122108/Linux-i686 here.

WFM on Mozilla 0.9.8 with W2k and recent Courier IMAP on Linux I'd resolve it as WFM but I can't test the Linux-Linux combination.

I think I discovered what may be the root of the evil: Courier IMAP offers a compile-time option that enables compatibility to "broken" Netscape 4.x IMAP implementations. Maybe this prevents Courier IMAP from working properly with "sane" IMAP-Clients?

Maybe Mozilla is one of these "broken" implementations? (Mozilla's IMAP code is based on 4.x', I think.)

I built it with and without the options for "broken" Netscape 4.x IMAP implementations" Current Mozilla seems to function without the patch in courier the same as with the patch; however, there is still the problem of all folders under Inbox. Maildir folders on the server are being named: .<FolderName> Sub folders are being named: .<FolderName>.<subname> All in the same directory
