Select 300 email (ctrl-click), then delete. Takes forever.

Details
I selected 300 or so email by selecting the first
one, scrolling to the bottom, and pressing ctrl-[mouse-click].
I then then pressed the 'delete' button.
It proceded to delete the messages, one at a time, redrawing
the whole window each time it delete one from the list. This
took about 1.5 minutes to complete.
It should instead drop all of them at once from the window and repaint
once.
GNOME was updated tonight, and the user-agent info gives the rest I believe.
Thanks,
Ben

as a matter of fact, the user-agent is not reported with the form, since people
do not always use their Mozilla build to report.
so could you please let us know what mozilla build you are using?
This is probably related to bug 49212, by the way.

I'm not sure if we already have a bug on this, but this is a known problem. We
probably need to do batching to speed up things like delete, marking messages
read, etc. reassigning to sspitzer, cc'ing naving and bienvenu.
