From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.2.16-22 i686; en-US; m18) Gecko/20001116 BuildID: 2000111613 I can access sites using SSL as usual if I am logged in as root. However I can not access SSL sites as a normal user. I am using RPM's from Chris Blizzard Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Goto SSL site (any). Then it sites there, If you press stop it goes into some sort of loop. However as root everything works fine Actual Results: Mozilla loops and you cannot do anything else and it hogs your CPU Expected Results: Displayed the SSL site as any user I am not sure if I am doing something wrong but I have exhausted all my other options. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.
psm needs write access to its directory. If you have to have Mozilla installed as root, I suggest creating a mozusers group, giving it write permissions to the psm directory, and adding all people who need to be able to run Mozilla to the group. This horrible state of affairs is being worked on. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 49507 ***
