One of the coolest features of the Opera web browser is that it supports
multiple sub-windows within a single browser window. Each sub-window has
its own history, so the user can navigate independently in each one. Since
the sub-windows are all managed within a single OS-level window, clutter
at the desktop level is minimized. There's a task bar at the bottom of
the Opera window, with a button for each sub-window.
Eudora is another application that has a similar feature; I'm sure there are
others.
I suggest adding something like this to Mozilla, at least as a user-selectable
option.
