I have several tab groups, each tab group may have few application tabs, some of tab groups don't have application tabs because tabs in those groups are rather temporary than persistent. So I use application tabs to switch between groups. If I need to switch to the group that doesn't have any application tab then I should move through whole screen to press panorama button. I think it would be nicer to keep it together with application tabs so that I'm able to switch between groups from the same place on the screen and do it quickly.

On the another hand perhaps Firefox could have one more button to addition to panorama button to show a list of tab groups (light version of panorama view to show groups it popup). Perhaps that would be preferable than moving panorama button to app tabs).

This sort of functionality is being worked on in bug 596017
