From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.76 [en] (Win98; I)
BuildID: 20001121
When composing a message (or replying or forwarding a message) if you set the
Character coding to "Simplified Chinese" the message sent is blank.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start N6 on Hpux
2. Open Mail window
3. Click on "New Message"
4. From View->Character Character Coding choose Chinese Simplified (GB2312)
5. Type some text in the message and send it to yourself (or someone else)
Actual Results: The message sent will be completely blank
Expected Results: The message should not be blank, it should have the text of
the message in it. Using the Character coding Chinese Traditional works.
I found this when I tried to forward on a message from a co-worker. His
original message was coded in Chinese Simplified.

I can reproduce this on the 11-21 and also this morning's build. Linux doesn't
show this problem.

The problem seems caused by a problem in unicode converter for GB2312. Problem can be
reproduced from editor directly. I should be able to find the fix pretty soon.

I can't change the status of the bug either. Is something wrong with

On HP the byte order used is Big-endian. The original code assumed little-endian
is used.
