On Mac OSX, the add-on bar is currently a flat, grey block. For consistency with other OSX applications, a grey gradient should be added. This will both make the add-on bar feel more native, but also give it less visual weight and help it stand out less within Firefox OSX's gradient-heavy interface.
Dietrich, all you'll need is -moz-appearance: statusbar. Using rounded corners isn't possible, unfortunately.
