Referer is not sent on background images as in:
<BODY background="somebackground.gif"> ... </BODY>
Should I have made this a separate bug? I figured putting them in one place was
the whole idea.

william: please file a separate bug for that issue, and add it to this bugs
dependency list. thanks!

Adding bug 145579, privacy vulnerability: new HTTP_REFERER available on old page
when unloading old page (i.e. when a user types in a new url in the address bar
the old page can log the next url you're visiting)
Depends on: future_referer

I'm working on more testcases. If there is a bug in this area you think needs
analysis to be fixed for 1.4, please email me (do not post here).
There is also some (brief) documentation in the works.

I'm closing tracking bugs that aren't being used for active projects in necko - they're just cluttering things up (tags work better now).

I'm removing the "referer" alias so this alias does not defeat attempts to use bugzilla's quick search and since arguably there is no utility in having a closed-as-incomplete meta bug using up an alias.
Alias: referer
