We pass this test:
http://test.csswg.org/source/contributors/mozilla/submitted/css3-background/box-shadow/box-shadow-blur-definition-001.xht
which tests the formal definition of box-shadow blurring.

Does IE?  If IE fails that test but "passes" http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/HTML5/DayNight/Default.html then I'm reasonably confident that this bug is invalid (our behavior is correct, Microsoft's is not).

Otherwise, this probably needs further investigation.

IE 9 fails the CSSWG test: the bottom strip is lighter than the middle strip in some areas.

David, Brian says that the current backgrounds spec doesn't define blur in enough detail to pin down the behavior here (and agrees that the testdrive test should not be comparing to a bitmap).  Do you want to follow up on that?

Linked test-case just redirects to a newly designed "test drive" page (with diff. demos). -> INVALID.
