On this page I'm getting terrible checkerboarding when zooming in in portrait mode such that about half of the page is visible. When panning to the left and right, almost none of the page is cached and it makes it very difficult to read the text. http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=2140053

Forgot to mention: I'm on a Droid X.
Which build are you seeing this in? (It could either be fixed by bug 624451, or a regression from bug 624451, depending on whether you're seeing this in today's mozilla-central nightly.)
I saw it both yesterday and today, so it wasn't affected by bug 624451. I actually tried this out today just to see whether that bug affected this issue.

This is much improved by bug 629475 and bug 633986. Panning horizontally still shows noticeable checkerboarding, though it goes away faster now. Vertical panning on Hacker News shows little or no checkerboarding now. Maybe we just need to make the pixel cache slightly wider horizontally.

Is this bug covering horizontal panning and checkerboarding?
