Right now the spell-checker allows only for one active language at a times, and that language must be set back and forth manually by the user every time he wants to write in a different language.
There are many ways this could be improved, including :
- Firefox may remember specific websites calls for a specific language for the spell-checker.
- Firefox may allow multiple dictionaries to be used at the same time (as does Evolution, the GNOME email client), highlighting as wrong only the words that doesn't belong to any of those languages.
- Firefox may check the content of the page and try to set the spell-checker accordingly.
Reproducible: Always

Ok, I failed for my search for other bugs relating to this, because I searched spellchecking instead of spellchecker.
So, related bugs :
- For multiples dictionaries, see here https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69687#c74 and here https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481884
- For the rest : https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=338427
I'm marking my bug as a duplicate.
