Details

* TITLE/SUMMARY
I am using the desktop integration features of Windows 2000. When I use an icon
from the quick launch or links bar, or I type a URL into the address bar, and
Mozilla has not yet started, I get two browser Windows. Also, thanks to Bug id
#25455 (http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25455) the second window is
the one placed exactly on top. The first window is always the correct URL of
the link or URL. The contents of the second window are inconsistent, sometimes
displaying the same URL as the first window, sometimes displaying about:blank
(my default page).

Subsequent attempts to open a browser through a link click or the address bar
result in the expected behavior: 1 new browser window with the desired page.

* STEPS TO REPRODUCE
0a) Enable desktop integration in Mozilla, either during installation or through
Preferences.
0b) Enable the quick launch, links, or address toolbar. For this example, I'll
assume you have the address toolbar.
1) Enter any URL into the address toolbar, such as
http://repairlix.sourceforge.net. Press enter. The Mozilla splash screen appears.
2) Wait for Mozilla to load.
3) (Opt.) Enter a different URL into the address toolbar and press enter.

* RESULT
 - What happened

When Mozilla has finished loading, two browser windows appear, covering the
exact same portion of the desk (and effectively rendering the back window
invisible). The top window may or may not contain the expected page; the back
window contains the expected page always. The second time you enter a URL into
the address bar, you will see only one new browser window appear with the
correct page.

 - What was expected

One new window opens for each page.

* REGRESSION

 - Occurs On
	Mozilla 0.6 on Windows 2000, M18 on Windows 2000.

 - Doesn't Occur On
        Internet Explorer 5.5 RTM
corydodt@yahoo.com this is an excellent bug report, perfectly written!! Well
done!
This is a duplicate of another bug, which actually wasn't summarised in an easy
to understand way. I am updating the other summary closer to the one you used
so that it is easier to spot when querying bugs.
corydodt@yahoo.com if you would be so kind as to keep a track of the other bug
using nightlies you could help in getting any proposed fixes verified - thanks
again for your help.
