i'm trying to download a file, I say save as, but under
doc directory books will be visible but bilkent not.
nothing wrong with permissions, but mozilla won't like it.
you shouldn't need group r/w permissions to save under it, right?

Please try to reproduce this on a recent nightly. I believe it has been fixed.

No response from reporter, and I believe this is fixed on the trunk (M18 was a
looong time ago). Marking Invalid.

Sorry but I haven't tried out a nightly build since I'm
a bit busy nowadays but I wouldn't assume it's been resolved since
the testing mozilla gets on UNIX is not much.
I'm reopening now, I'll report further when I have a chance
to test it out.
Thanks!

Er, I'm not sure what you mean by 'not much' testing on Linux.
But, at any rate, please do have a look with a recent build. Reopening
would preferably be a positive statement, as in "it _is_ broken", as
opposed to "perhaps it's broken, but I haven't looked recently". (For what
it's worth, I checked m18 on rh6.1, and I could access a directory that was
rwxr-xr-x with m18).

I don't think this has anything to do with the permissions on the directory,
rather I suspect this is a dup of 56779 (sorry for not marking it as such, I was
lazy).

Definate dup of 56779. Marking as such.
